- Hi Mr Pen, let me start with the most ordinary question “ How old are you?”
- I’m actually 80 years old. The first time I saw daylight happened the same
year when my home country, Hungary, lost to Italy the World Championship
Cup in France.
- Tell me something that now one knows about you.
- I’ve just done a little research and I found out that today 125 pens are being
sold per second versus just 45 smartphones per second.
- How important do you think a pen is for our day-to-day lives?
- For sure the importance of a pen depends on the place, the person and the
time it’s being used: it definitely has a different impact on an accountant than
it has for let’s say a gardener. There are different opinions regarding the simple
pen and while some people only see it as a writing instrument that helps you
plan your day and be proactive, others see in it a true luxury accessory.
To be honest, they are all right.
- What
do you think matters the most in the life of a pen?
- I
think the best thing you can do as a pen is to be suitable for your user.
Weather
they see you as an instrument to make thoughts come to life on
paper or just a
lucky charm they use for the important exams in life,
a pen should always be
there ready to “slide”.
- Nowadays
in the era of the digital, why do you think people still use pens?
Will they
get to be extinct one day, just like the dinosaurs?
- Ha
ha! Even though pens have been ruling the world for several years
now, we are still
indispensable for some fields of work and every marketer
can find a great ally
in us. I genuinely believe that pens are one of modern
man’s best friends,
despite all the technology around him and I truly feel that
this situation will
not change for many years to come.
- Thank
you for your time. Any thoughts for our readers?
- I
will live you with a great comparison. A pens life is very much like a good
wine:
o We
are born in factories/wine cellar
o We
grow up, reaching our highest level – usage/maturity
o We
start degrading
But
in the end the personal taste is the only one that matters.
Write nicely.
